As a doctor, I recognize that my patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in myself and my team. Larry Porteous, D.D.S.
Dr. Porteous is a Bay Area native raised in Berkeley, Ca. He received his B.S. in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon returning to the Bay Area, he obtained his California Dental License and completed a general practice residency program at Olive View Medical Center in Van Nuys, California with an emphasis in Oral Surgery. Experience during the residency program included visits to outlying clinics providing emergency dental care to the underprivileged in the greater Los Angeles area.
Dr. Larry met his wife Linda while she was completing her dental hygiene degree at Chabot College in Hayward. For 2 years they each practiced in separate group offices while exploring the opportunities to open their own private practice.
Linda Porteous, R.D.H.
Linda is also a Bay Area native raised in Oakland, Ca. Linda worked as an Registered Dental Assistant in San Francisco while attending school at Chabot College in Hayward, California for her Dental Hygiene Degree. Total years that Linda has worked in the dental field is up-wards of 40 years. Linda says her real job is dental hygiene but one will find her doing anything and everything needed in the dental offices. Most patients know they can call and ask for Linda with any need or concerns they may have.
Lance Porteous, D.M.D.
Dr. Porteous was raised in Danville, Ca. He received his B.S. in Biology at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Ca. He attended a graduate program at San Francisco State in Dental Health Sciences and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland Ohio. Dr. Lance was eager to join his parents in the family practices. Many patients already know Dr. Lance as he was always in and out helping when he could while attending school.
Lea Porteous, BSN RN (Daughter)
Lea attended UC Davis with a B.S. in Biology and has completed her B.S. in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University. Lea has been an integral and invaluable member of Porteous Family Dentistry providing assistance in all aspects of the practices when available and helping patients feel welcome, comfortable and at ease during their visit.
